simple is profound

i think we make things too difficult.  somehow it is part of our human nature--our sinful human nature--that does that.  instead of being pure-hearted and simple, we complicate things with hidden motives and trying to protect and take care of ourselves.

i love this morning's SOAP.  it is simple and profound.  in 1 corinthians 2:2 THE MESSAGE BIBLE reads, "I deliberately kept it plain and simple: first Jesus and Who He is; then Jesus and what He did--Jesus crucified."

if we simply yield to, and focus on, Jesus, everything else will take care of itself.  it is when we put a lot of other good things first (not even sinful things, just good things), we make it complicated.

i pray we can all keep it simple every day of our lives...
