Well, the bags are packed and I am ready to crash into bed. I leave for Baltimore in the morning for a short business trip. I am working with clients from here who have a top secret project going in Baltimore. We are doing some early on research to help them in their process. I love this kind of stuff. It is a great opportunity to help my clients look GREAT in their company. And that is what my role in business is.
While I am gone I will be working on a report, my message for Chick Night on Sunday night, and the findings of this project. I will also be working on some other leadership things for the church. Life is full and exciting right now for me.
Do you ever have those times when you look at what lies ahead and say "How is all of this going to get done?" That is what the last few weeks have been like for me. Yet in the midst of it, there is one little thought that keeps me on track: I only need God's grace for this day. So many times we make things worse by trying to "live ahead" of where we are. We stress ourselves out because we are thinking too far ahead. I have been a real pro at that in the past.
But God has been at work in my heart in this area for a while. He is so faithful to remind me of slowing down and staying in the moment. "Learn to live in today's grace," He reminds me.
I like that....and will be doing that this whole week!
Look for updates from Baltimore....where it is supposed to be 80 degrees tomorrow!
Thanks for the great reminder. Safe travels!
